“Give, and it shall be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken to gather and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.” Luke 6:38

This is the way in which God has prompted us to give to one another. It is obvious to give in good measure and abundantly in surplus. Therefore, if God has commanded us to give in this manner, should we come to God with an offering that is significantly small, or that is not in "good measure", or that has not been "pressed down" or "shaken together"?

Until we do what is right, we can never bring to God an offering that is "running over" with thanksgiving and praise! This is God's way of giving to us and He asks us to do the same. Should we not return to the Lord an offering worthy of His grace, to show our gratitude for that which he has done for us?

Prophet Malachi 3:10, described this by saying " Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove Me herewith, saith the Lord of hosts, if I will not open to you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessings, that there shall not be room enough to receive it".
